Development

The only major differences between the 140 and 145 is that the 140 has an increased range, a derated engine, and a shorter fuselage. Orders and Deliveries
The ERJ140 first entered commercial service mid 2001. The majority of these aircraft are used by Envoy Air, which is a subsidiary of American Airlines as American Eagle. By early 2005, 74 of these aircraft had been delivered.
Design
