The Pitts S-2C has been used for competition in the Unlimited category as well as other categories, including War bird racing events like Reno Air Races or World Championships at Oshkosh (WOW). This aircraft also saw service both in military and civilian roles before being replaced by modern jets during the 1970s. Yet it still remains popular among airshow pilots around the world.
